We are thrilled to have started our photo shoot schedule yesterday….we had a fantastic photo shoot at the Omni Parker House…it was fabulous and what a great job the photography did…Dan Doke is just a peach! We will now look forward to our other shoots these next few months….Rhode Island, Vermont, New York and Connecticut. We also have finalized our three bridal events we produce:

We are know booking ad space, booths and starting to finalize and look at submissions for editorial too!

Well the hard work is over and 1 year, 5 photoshoots later the best issue to date is on the streets! We are all so proud of what we have created. Also, we will now be producing 3 bridal shows a year……September 20, 2009 the Providence Wedding Showcase at the lovely Providence Biltmore, January 10, 2010 the Newport Wedding Showcase at the fab Hotel Viking and then in April, 2010 we will be producing the Boston Wedding Showcase, location still in negiotiations…..to another great year! 

We were thrilled to be invited to meet some of the World Series Red Sox players at a wine tasting event at Fenway Park. Hazel Mae from NESN MC’d the event……

We have been busy little bees here at the La Bella Bride Magazine world headquarters…..We have been blessed with yet another great hire……..we have a new wonderful salesperson Ann Petronio. She carries 15 years experience and is just the best! We feel she has floated down from the heavens just for us. What a wonderful team we have in place…..we feel blessed and it just makes our job all the easier! Now that is teamwork……

Our magazine was featured on the soap opera One Life to Live, click here to see the clip from the episode, the buzz around the beehive has been great. Dorian Lord is using our 2008 issue to help plan her daughter Adriana’s wedding to Rex. Now that is product placement and we didn’t even ask. We believe it is the most beautiful magazine on the shelves, so this proves it! She used our issue in multiple scenes and held our cover up many times! One of our advertisers emailed us with the great news as she watched the scenes in Vermont.

Our designers, J and James out did themselves once again by creating an absolutely fanastic new website for us that launched last week. The raves have been just 100% positive……………..http://www.labellabride.com

We have been traveling to the latest fashion runways in New York City and our favorite this year again is Priscilla of Boston which includes The Vineyard Collection, Melissa Sweet and The Platinum Collection…..we also like Lela Rose as well. 

We are just starting our wonderful, photo shoot schedule, which will bring us around the Northeast to meet and visit with our advertisers and start new, business relationships. On April 2 we had a flawless (as Karen Bibo would say)tabletop, bouquets and cake shoot at The Boston Harbor Hotel…… what a place and the staff is just the best. Our friend Matt from Grazier Photography shot for us…he is so great and has such a great eye….his images are just perfect and he is one of those types of photographers that has it all…..great eye, personality, sweet and great business mind…..he is a luv cat for sure!

We are trying to help the environment by bringing awareness to the people that are coming to our Bridal event, The Newport Wedding Showcase, in Newport, Rhode Island on January 6, 2008. We are making donations to two local organizations… Save the Bay and the Peoples Power and Light or the New England Wind Fund. Both organizations will have a presence at our event with information on how couples can help the fight against global warming, how to become more involved in the GREEN Movement etc….every little bit you can do as a human being helps, believe that!!!! Here are some tips that may change your life:

  Just wanted to share how Kim Praast and I arrived in STYLE to the launch party of the Lifetime TV show Get Married……..we could not find a cab after the Melissa Sweet fashion show and I hailed a rickshaw with a great driver named Gustave…we are old buddies now.

WOWEE!!! What a time we had…I LOVE NEW YORK……….checking out all the new bridal designs, going to the after parties, meeting some great new people and hanging with some great friends. Two of our advertisers where able to come and shoot runway for us this year and what a fun time we all had…………..Thanks Matt from Grazier Photography and Kim for Kim Praast Photography……more info and images coming soon….

La Bella Bride Magazine has made some decisions in the last couple of weeks. The publisher has decided to make our premier 2007 issue OVERSIZE. The first issue of La Bella Bride Magazine will be 9″ x 11″. The publisher feels we need to have a definite PRESENCE on the newsstands. We also have booked some great bridal events to participate in. We will hand out complimentary La Bella Bride Magazines to brides at these and many more events. So far on the list is The Regal Wedding Gala at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. Also, The Nonantum Bridal Event in Kennebunkport, Maine has also made the list. We will find shows in each of the eight states we will be involved in, distribute and hand our magazine out to qualified and ready to buy brides. Anyone have a GREAT bridal show that they have been to and would like to share with us? More to come………
